Tiletoria was proud to collaborate with TDC&Co to create the innovative space that is We Are Egg in Cavendish Square in Cape Town. Paul Simon, a serial entrepreneur has partnered with fellow master retailer Arie Fabian to open a revolutionary shopping concept. Entitled We Are Egg the idea is a collaborative space that evolved from Simon’s original YDE concept. The Cavendish store is an experiential journey and is the first of three to roll out (Durban’s Gateway and The Zone in Rosebank will open next year).

It is a space where the imagination runs wild including vendors like cult hair salon Mop, a Black Betty piercing studio, a flower and plant market by Fleur Le Cordeur. There is a food arena, featuring restaurants and eateries such as Luke Dale Roberts with Pot Luck Club, alongside Scheckter’s Raw, Unframed Ice Cream and Cheyne’s Contemporary Asian. There is even a limited-edition sneaker, athleisure and a personalisation section (everything from hats to shoes can be drawn, studded, stamped) and there is a home, and beauty department too. Beauty brands featured include Swiitch, Skoon and Glow Theory. From a fashion perspective, you’ll find Orphan Street Clothing, AKJP, Maison Mara, Skhanda World, Artclub and Friends, Ogun, Float, Shelflife, Stiebeuel, Iconic Black, New Balance, Puma, Converse, Lily Label, Selfi and Unknown Union. In the Living section, you’ll find Haus by Hertex, The Chairman Home and The T-Shirt Bed Co. Wellness includes Wazoogles, Honest Chocolate, KURO-Bō and Nanuki.A tech-focused approach ensures free in-store Wi-Fi, an app for on-tap water and an in-store assistance call function.

The interior is brought to life using imported Gerflor vinyl floors and a range of our beautiful wall tiles. Tiletoria sourced and supplied the bespoke Vinyl flooring named Gerflor Attraction Connect which features interlocking vinyl tiles used is the Central Park & Songo colours.  This had a total coverage of 2,815m2. Tiletoria additonally supplied the floor & wall tiles with a total of 680m2 coverage. The sanware items (plumbing fixtures) were also supplied for this project.
